The IPRC has been a solid community ally and support for Elbow Room, as well as an inspiration for how to structure a community resource that meets the needs of individual artists and unique projects. Their print and book making resources include letter press, risograph, and screen printing, and these media have been involved in the production of much of Elbow Room and Cityland’s merchandise!

Headwaters Theater is an artist-run performance space that values and facilitates creative exchange on important social, ecological, and embodied levels. They have reliably shared creative space with Elbow Room since 2021, forming an important outpost for Elbow Room artists to make visual and multi-media/performance art.

The Oregon Society of Artists has been a long-time ally of Elbow Room, providing weekly space to create, inclusive exhibition opportunities, and artistic camaraderie.

PICA extends weekly access to their Resource Room with Elbow Room, where artists can work on projects and explore thousands of beautiful art books. PICA also selected Elbow Rom artists Elmeater Morton and Lawren(ce) Oliver III for their 2023 Golden Spot Residency Awards, boosting their careers and siphoning support toward their unique artistic practices.

Lewis and Clark College offered Elbow Room a 3 month residency in the Hoffman Gallery in the fall of 2021, which we converted into studio space, held a visiting artist workshop, and hosted the first 2 Elbow Room art exhibitions.

During the dry season, Elbow Room participants gather to make art and cultivate an abundant vegetable garden at the Sideyard Annex Farm, a site in the Cully Neighborhood developed by Public Annex to host accessible farming opportunities.
