Tim K.
bio
Tim K is good with his hands and makes friends wherever he goes. He moved to Oregon from Georgia, and he is really proud to now be an Oregonian. He has a strong imagination, a mind for cars, trucks, boats and lighthouses. Tim’s drawings evolve in intuitive layers of marks which compose cellular structures, as organic as mitochondria. Tim’s own name often finds its way into or around the composition, and his signature is as interesting and expressive as the other integrated forms, conjuring up concentric crop circles or lighthouses.
A tape measure always in Tim’s pocket (alongside an impressive collection of pens). He has a knack for measuring things, and is interested in confirming that things are the same size. He totes a shiny new Stanley Jack Plane to Elbow Room, making wood shavings with his trusty plane or boring holes with old augur bits to make front doors for birdhouses. Endlessly interested in old junk, from old Ford tractors to chainsaws to drill bits, Tim knows that under the surface rust is beautiful and durable patina.
