"Dialtones" Tape

$6.00

The Dialtones tape is documentation of an array of experimental audio art developed during Elbow Room’s 2025 residency at the Hoffman Gallery at Lewis & Clark College, a four month project which culminated in a group show, Dialtones.

This audio was originally presented via a phone tree, which could be accessed either by visiting a DIY phone booth in the gallery, or calling the number 724-TEL-BOWS (724 835 2697) via a personal phone. It has been lovingly mingled and mixed into a continuous stream on cassette, for your listening pleasure. Enjoy an idiosyncratic assortment of recordings from a call-in advice line, a radio drama, jokes, spoken word, ASMR, and covers of classic songs about the telephone.

Contributing artists: Endale Abraham, Shannon Anderson, Ricky Bearghost, Aaron Bokowski, Chanel Conklin, Taylor Forzano, Emma Ganger-Spivak, Aaron Hobson, Robert Hubert, Andy Louie, Sean McGinley, Brian Moran, Elmeater Morton, Mohamed Omar, Amy Osborne, Joanna Rodriguez, and Joel Stotesbery.
